As a rough guide for healthy UK adults: a single-trip European policy can start from around £8–£20 per person; worldwide-excluding-USA tends to sit £15–£40; USA, Canada and the Caribbean (priced for very high medical costs) often £25–£70+. An annual multi-trip policy frequently pays for itself if you take more than two or three trips a year. Older travellers and those with declared medical conditions will see higher quotes - but specialist insurers usually offer much better value than mainstream brands in those cases.
